Tom Sachs & The Sex Farm

I met this dude on a field trip to New York. His name is Tom Sachs. He's a Bennington grad. He's totally legit, and awesome. He's kind of a rockstar; he's made enough of a name for himself and has enough money to do whatever the fuck he wants to.
His studio was like a fun house. To enter it, we had to go into a tiny laundromat, walk to the back, and then open a secret door cleverly disguised as a bookshelf. It opened up to a library, which then opened up to his studio. He also had a studio upstairs, referred to as "The Eagles Nest".

This is a photo of a lunar lander he built out of stuff from Home Depot. It was featured at some fancy New York museum. On the opening night, he jackhammered the floor of the place. He took the rocks, and called them "Moon Rocks" and put them on display and sold them. The owners of the museum were so angry that they were crying, because he had done it without asking. But smart Tom, he had previously gotten in contact with the architect of the building and arranged for the damage to be fixed, which he payed for. He said, "It's better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission."

Really awesome dude. Reminds me of Zack in like, 20 years. Joanna, I think you would like him too! And if you don't, he's at least worth checking out.
