One of the worst blizzards in quite some time is blowing through Wisconsin right now. It started on Tuesday afternoon, and really picked up last night, inches of snow where accumulating by the hour. By the end of tonight, we should have about 16 inches of snow and then temperatures will dip into the negatives once the snow ends.
In lieu of this, there is currently a preemptive state of emergency here declared by the governor. Truly, a bit overkill. However, for the first time since 1990, classes at UW have been cancelled. And, for the first time since 1978 have teachers/ staff been told not to come as well. The snowball fights and sledding last night were wonderful. Makes me look forward to my everglades camping trip even more.
