Did you know that people originating from the Arab world only have the option of listing themselves as white or asian (on the US census) depending on which side of the Caucacus mountain range their country resides?
And Iran is not considered an Arab country.

The census is such a fucking joke.
ReplyDeleteBut Iran isn't an Arab country. They're Persians, and the ones I've talked to about the subject don't consider themselves Arab anyway. Islam was more or less forced on Persia in the 600s through conquest. Before that, they were by and large Zoroastrians, which is a reeeeally fucking cool religion founded in Persia.
Also the reason they're not considered Arab is because they dont speak Arabic, they speak Farsi.
